N ina Lyman’s evocative designs have delighted animal lovers the world over. Her avid followers regularly fill her inbox with praise and requests and a strong group of serious collectors has formed around her work. Her innovative approach brings together a fresh design sensibility with a love and compassion for her subject that communicates directly with her audience.
Nina is a skilled two-dimensional and three-dimensional artist with a BFA degree in design and ceramic design from Alfred University, NY. She paints her subjects in gouache or draws in pen and then composes compositions with them on the computer. She lives on the Kitsap Peninsula near Seattle in Washington State with her husband Skip, also an artist, several cats, two dogs, two geese and several horses. Nina uses many of Skip’s flower graphics in her computer compositions.
